13 people are on trolleys at University Hospital Waterford A&E

The latest trolley watch figures released by the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation today have revealed that 13 people are now awaiting a proper bed at the A&E department in University Hospital Waterford.

There are currently 13 patients on trolleys at the Waterford A&E department. Elsewhere in the region, 33 patients are awaiting a proper bed at University Hospital Limerick, while 13 are in similar situation at Cork University Hospital

Letterkenny General Hospital is the most overcrowded in the country today with 35 people awaiting a proper bed at their A&E department.

Nationally today, July 30, 342 patients are waiting for a proper bed.
