One child under 16 in Emergency Department as Waterford hospital trolley figures for Friday revealed

There are four people on trolleys and the ward at University Hospital Waterford on Friday.

There are four people on trolleys and the ward at University Hospital Waterford on Friday (July 27), with one patient under the age of 16 in the Emergency Department, according to the latest trolley and ward watch figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation.

The nationwide figure is 243, a decrease of 17% on the same day last year when there were 294 patients on trolleys.

The hospitals with the highest numbers on Friday are University Hospital Limerick (26), Tullamore's Midland Regional Hospital (25) and Cork University Hospital (23). 

Other figures for Friday include South Tipperary General Hospital (18) and Wexford General Hospital (2).
