“Brilliant day” for Waterford Athletics Club at National Juvenile Athletics Championships in Tullamore

Waterford Athletics Club had a "brilliant day" at the National Juvenile Athletics Championships in Tullamore.

Three Waterford AC athletes and their coaches had a “brilliant day” at the National Juvenile Athletics Championships in Tullamore, Co Offaly, on Sunday (July 22).  

Emily O’Mahony came 2nd in the under 18 triple jump, on the back of coming 5th at the SIAB Schools International in Grangemouth, Scotland, on Saturday.

Emily Myers, who has been knocking on the medals door for a while now, finished 3rd in the under 18 hammer contest.

Eoin Kenny had a brilliant run in the under 19 200m race, crossing the line in 3rd on a photo finish decision.
