A planning application consisting of 430 apartments across six blocks has been sent to Waterford City and County Council.
The development will be six apartment blocks with a varying number of apartments in each.
It is being proposed by Hopcast Limited to be built on Waterford's North Quays, on the Dock Road in Ferrybank.
The 430 apartments will be a mix of one, two, and three-bed homes, suitable for between one and four people.
There will be a total of 228 one-bed apartments, seven two-bed apartments suitable for three people, and 195 two-bed apartments suitable for four people.

Blocks C and D are nine-storey blocks that will have 71 apartments each, Block E will be eight storeys with 66 apartments, Blocks F and G will both be nine storeys with 75 apartments each, and Block H will be a nine-storey complex with 72 aprtments.
Each block will also have space for retail accommodation on Level 0 as well as a private balcony.
The application was made on February 27th and a decision on it is due by April 23rd.
It was previously approved planning permission when the application was for 360 apartments; however, the developer changed the plans.
