Primary schools throughout Waterford are being encouraged to get creative as Emerald Park launches its first-ever Primary School Tour Competition with the prize being a complimentary 2026 school tour experience.

Schools are invited to craft a fun and imaginative limerick featuring the words "Emerald Park" for the chance to secure a full day of adventure, wildlife encounters, and fun.

The winning school will enjoy a complimentary school tour to the theme park and zoo during select dates in May or June 2026.

Entries must be submitted by Friday, 27th March 2026, and only one entry per school is permitted.

This marks the very first competition of its kind from Emerald Park and presents an exciting opportunity for schools across Waterford to secure a memorable end-of-year celebration for their pupils.

From exploring the park’s fully accredited zoo home to more than 250 animals to discovering immersive habitats like Lemur Woods to majestic leopards, pupils can connect with wildlife in a hands-on, engaging way.
