Planning permission sought for brand new spors facility in coastal Waterford town

Planning permission has been sought to bring two Padel tennis courts to the coastal town of Dunmore East in Co. Waterford.

Padel Sports 100 Ltd has requested permissin to put two modular, portable courts in Dunmore East Golf Club.

They would be complete with artificial grass, and 4m high fencing around the perimeter.

6m tall integrated LED lighting and all other ancillary site works also require permission.

The application was made on Thursday, February 5th and a decision is due on April 1st. 

Padel Sports 100 Ltd was set up in Cork in April of last year and has a goal of putting 100 "world-class" Padel courts to 50 locations throughout Ireland.

According to the 'coming soon' section of their website, four courts will be in Waterford.

There will be one in Poleberry, one in Kilmeadan, and two in Dungarvan. 

At the moment, Padel Sports 100 Ltd have three courts open in Ireland. 

Submissions for the court in Dunmore East need to be made by March 11th.
