Drivers advised to 'take note' of major change to popular Waterford road coming into effect from Monday
A major change, that has been called for for years, will come into effect on the popular N25 road between Waterford and Kilkenny on Monday.
Kilkenny County Council announced on social media that the speed limit on a section of the N25 will be reduced from 100km/h to 80km/h.
The change comes into effect on Monday, November 10, with people being encouraged to adhere to the new limit.
New signage has been put in place and is in effect for the section of road between the Luffany Roundabout and the junction between the N25 and L7522.

The actual amendment to the speed limit bylaws were adopted on September 15, following six weeks of public consultation during the summer.
A 6km section of the N25 has taken 12 lives in the past 12 years, with five people killed on it since 2022.
In July, 600 people attended a public meeting in the Rhu Glenn Country Club Hotel calling for changes to the road to be implemented.
