Another message said, "We send heartfelt condolences to Natasha, little Holly & Sofia, Paul & Jacinta, Gerry, Shane, Jake and indeed to all who knew and loved Luke.

"Luke celebrated so many victories in life, both on and off the pitch. Anyone who had the pleasure of meeting him and knowing him, had the highest of regard for the wonderful person he was.

"We can only imagine the sense of heartbreak felt by you, his family, and all in Kilcmacow GAA & Camogie Clubs, and beyond.
It is times like these that the community that Luke loved so much, will come together to carry each other through what is an incredible loss.

Luke leaves a wonderful legacy in terms of the character he was and hurler he was. We hold you all in our thoughts and prayers in the days ahead".

Another person said, "Alan and I had the good fortune to meet Luke almost 20 years ago in the Kilmacow Youth club. Even at that time Luke was a chap who was always good humoured, good with people, always respectful to others, a loveable rouge and even then he was a true gentleman.

"There are no words that can adequately express the shock and grief the community is feeling at the lost of such a wonderful human being. There are no words that can help you through this extremely difficult time.

"The greatness of life is the legacy people leave - and the memories they created and shared with those they left behind. Know that love is stronger than death. Whatever journey Luke's soul goes to next, be certain he'll be there waiting for you all."
