This April, 250 mixed-pair teams from over 50 countries including Ireland will take on the first ever Red Bull Ibiza Royale, an obstacle course race through Ibiza – and Waterford students keen on fitness and adventure are encouraged to apply!

Taking place from April 11th - 14th, the selected teams will immerse themselves in a four-day Ibiza adventure. Competitors will take on obstacles designed by Red Bull athletes as they run, jump and slide to the top of Ibiza Castle.

The search for Ireland’s team of two began today, with applications now open until Thursday March 13th. If you think you have what it takes to represent Ireland in this race like no other, find a partner and head across to www.redbull.ie/ibizaroyale

A 1.4KM course designed to challenge body and mind, every obstacle is different, testing speed, strength, balance and reaction. HOW TO SIGN UP FOR RED BULL IBIZA ROYALE

Step 1: Find a friend to form a two-person team.

Your team needs to be composed of one male and one female. The competition is open to all fitness levels: just keep in mind that you’ll need to run a 1.4km course that’s generally uphill – and a good sense of humour!

Step 2: Complete a qualifying challenge at your local college campus, or the online qualifying challenge at www.redbull.ie/ibizaroyale

There are multiple in-person qualifying events at college campuses across Ireland. With your pair, take part in one of these or complete the online challenge at www.redbull.ie/ibizaroyale

Step 3: Submit your team videoOnce you’ve completed the initial qualification, you’ll be invited to submit a team video that showcases why you should be chosen. The video must be no more than 60 seconds in length and in English. Selection is based on energy, creativity and flair, so be sure to show off your active lifestyle and energetic personalities.

Then, hold on tight, because the 250 global teams selected for Ibiza will be revealed. Your chance to be one of those chosen teams starts today.

Visit www.redbull.ie/ibizaroyale for all the details, and be sure to complete the qualifying challenge and submit your video by March 13th 2025. For updates, follow @redbullire on Instagram and TikTok.
