A Waterford tennis club is seeking planning permission to upgrade existing facilities on their site.
St Anne's Tennis Club submitted an application to Waterford City and County Council this week (December 23) seeking permission to upgrade existing facilities to a mini tennis/padel tennis court with permeable surfaces within a transparent enclosure including integrated lighting.
The application also seeks permission to develop single and two-storey extensions to gables of the clubhouse to include external staircase; to refurbish and alter existing clubhouse elevations; to reconfigure internal layout of clubhouse; and to construct practice wall at court 8.
It also seeks permission to realign and improve fencing at courts 8 & 9 including providing equipment store; to demolish the shed at the south eastern corner of court 1; to demolish stairs and gates at court 8 and 9 and replace with new stairs and passage/viewing area between courts 8 and 9 for accessible access; and to develop landscaping and all associated works.
