Poor water quality results in bathing ban at popular Waterford beach

Poor water quality results in bathing ban at popular Waterford beach

The notice from Waterford City & County Council

Due to poor quality water results, a temporary bathing prohibition notice has been put in place for the Main Strand in Dunmore East.

The prohibition will remain in place until compliant water quality results are returned.

Waterford City and County Council has apologised for any inconvenience caused.

A bathing prohibition notice was also placed at Councillors Strand, Dunmore East, in June of this yearas a precaution due to elevated bacteria levels in the water.

Prohibition notices are reviewed based on ongoing sampling results and are lifted once required water quality levels are reached.
