Planning permission has been granted for a holiday park development at Dunmore East by Waterford City and County Council.

Dunmore East Holiday Park Ltd has been granted permission to develop 44 mobile holiday home pitches and integrated constructed wetlands - sewage treatment system - at Nymphhall, Dunmore East.

Permission was also granted for the development of a new internal site entrance and all associated site works at Nymphhall.

The planning submission noted that there was a previous refused application on the lands in question, which were not zoned for tourism at the time. The lands are now zoned as tourism and the applicant outlines that the application is substantially reduced in scale.

"The mobile holiday lodges are of a low height, low density and have existing mature vegetation," the submission outlined.

The planning permission was granted, subject to 9 conditions.
