Extra parking spaces and works including the demolition of a single storey building have been granted planning permission at a residential care centre in Waterford.

The Health Service Executive (HSE) is seeking planning permission from Waterford City & County Council for the provision of 31  additional parking bays together with all ancillary site works.

The works include the demolition of a single storey annex to the east of Saint Patrick’s Hospital, which is a protected structure, on the grounds of Waterford Residential Care Centre, also known as St Patrick’s Hospital, at the corner of John’s Hill and St Patrick’s Way, Waterford, for the Health Service Executive.

The planning application was submitted in recent months.

It was granted planning permission, with just one condition attached.
