Roads closed for annual festival in Waterford

A NUMBER of road closures will take place to facilitate Spraoi, an international street arts festival which is returning to Waterford city this August. 

The August bank holiday weekend will see Spraoi take to Waterford city streets with performers, artists and musicians from around the world playing across August 4, 5 and 6. 

Friday, August 4 to Monday, August 7 will see O’Connell St. closed, from junction of Hanover St. to Gladstone St at 8am Friday to 1am Monday. Gladstone St will also be closed off during this time.

The Mall will close from 7pm Friday to 1am Monday, while on Saturday, August 5, Henrietta St. will be closed from 12 noon to 6pm.

Sunday, August 6 will have Henrietta St. closed from 12 Noon – 6pm, Johnstown from 8.30pm – 10pm, Parnell St from 8.30pm – 10.30pm, Parade Quay from 9pm – 11.30pm and Custom house Quay from 9pm – 11.30pm.

Waterford City & County Council apologises for 'any inconvenience caused'.
