Boil Water Notices

Boil Water Notices have been lifted

A boil water notice affecting thousands of houses in Waterford has now been lifted, it has been confirmed.

A statement from Uisce Éireann and Waterford City & County Council said it wishes to notify consumers that following the cessation of industrial action and confirmation that the water quality on this supply is satisfactory, the boil water notice which has been in place is now lifted with immediate effect.

This decision follows consultation undertaken with the Health Service Executive, it was outlined.

All consumers on the East Waterford Water Supply Scheme can now resume normal use of the water supply for drinking, food preparation and brushing teeth.

The Uisce Éireann Customer Contact Centre (1800 278 278) is available to answer customer queries in relation to the lifting of this notice. Further information is available on our website at www.water.ie.
