Umbrellas up! Rain and blustery showers expected tonight
Heavy rain is set to continue for a number of hours on Saturday morning with a threat of thunderstorms.
Met Éireann says it will be increasingly windy today with widespread showers or longer spells of rain, heavy at times, with isolated thunderstorms possible.
Rain will be heaviest in Waterford from 11 am, with showers expected until 4pm.
Fresh to strong and gusty west to northwest winds already in the west will replace the moderate to fresh southerly winds in the east this afternoon. Highest temperatures of 15 to 18 degrees.
It will be wet and windy tonight at first tonight with widespread showers or longer spells of rain. Showers becoming more scattered overnight with clear spells developing. Moderate to fresh west to northwest winds easing light to moderate overnight. Lowest temperatures 9 to 12 degrees.
Sunshine and showers are on the way on Sunday, some of the showers heavy with thunderstorms possible, mainly in the east during the afternoon and evening.
It will be blustery at times too with moderate to fresh westerly winds and highest temperatures of 15 to 19 degrees.
