Bausch + Lomb are delighted to be one of the main sponsors for this year’s Viking Marathon that will take place in Waterford later this month. The event will see up to 2,500 participants complete a quarter, half or full marathon. As part of the event employees at Bausch + Lomb in Waterford have taken part in a Spin-a-Thon at their facility in Waterford City to raise money for the Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind.

Speaking about the fundraiser Conor Rainsford, Director, Operations said: "The Spin-a-Thon at Bausch + Lomb; which saw staff complete the distance of a marathon on spinning bikes; was great preparation for some of our employees who will be participating in the Viking Marathon on June 25th. It was a great opportunity to raise much needed money for a worthy cause like the Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind; who help to empower people to participate safely and confidently in their communities.
"At Bausch + Lomb we are all looking forward to the Viking Marathon later this month; where many of our employees will be taking part. This is a great opportunity to promote Waterford and use it as a showcase for our wonderful City and hopefully raise more money for charitable causes in Waterford and across the region".
