Waterford Gardaí are seeking information on an assault which occurred against a man in his early twenties.
Officers came across the man - who had swelling around his jaw area - on John Street in Waterford City while on patrol on April 27.
He was taken to University Hospital Waterford by ambulance.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who was in the area around 2am and witnessed the assault to contact them in Waterford Garda Station.
