Waterford Gardaí are being praised after helping a mother and her ill child get to the hospital.
Officers were reportedly on patrol when they were flagged down by the mother, who had been en route to the hospital when she got a flat tyre.
Gardaí drove both to the hospital before returning to the vehicle to change the flat tyre.
Locals commended the officers for their work on Twitter, with one user stating, "You guys are literally the nicest. True community, True Policing."

Another said, "Makes you proud of the gardai, important work" with another stating, "Well done Waterford Gardai. Best wishes to the unwell child."
