Waterford Gardaí seek witnesses to fatal single vehicle collision

Waterford Gardaí are seeking witnesses to a fatal single vehicle road traffic collision which occurred last month. 

The incident - involving a car and a pedestrian aged in his 50s - occurred on the R680 at Butlerstown on Tuesday January 31, 2023 at approximately 7pm. 

The man was taken to University Hospital Waterford for treatment but has since passed away as a result of his injuries. 

A post-mortem will take place in due course.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to come forward and any road users with video footage (including dash-cam) is asked to make this available to them. In particular, any road users who were in the area between 6.45pm – 7.15pm.
