Fines have been issued to three motorists who parked illegally in disabled bays in Waterford in recent days.
The offences, which occurred in Tramore, resulted in a fine of €150 for each driver.
The incidents occurred at Tramore Promenade.
Operation Enable was launched a few years ago to highlight such issues with people parking in disabled bay. It is a multi-agency initiative between An Garda Síochána, Dublin City Council, Dublin Street Parking Services, Disabled Drivers Association of Ireland (DDAI) and the IWA.
The objective of the Operation is to remind motorists of the need to respect the Disabled Parking Bays and to remind Disabled Parking Permit holders of the need to respect the conditions attached to the permits.
However, despite the campaign, many still park in the disabled bays, despite not having the required permits.
