Tipperary man appointed to take over Waterford U20s for the 2024 season

Tipperary's latest export to Waterford comes in the form of Mikey Cronin of Carrick Davins who has been appointed as the new Waterford U20 football boss for the 2024 season.

The Davins man was announced yesterday (Wednesday) by Waterford GAA along with the announcement of their new senior football boss Paul Shankey, whom Cronin will also join as senior coach.

Cronin was a coach/selector with Kilsheelan Kilcash last year and was also involved in a coaching capacity with their hurlers, and most recently has been involved with the Cashel King Cormacs hurlers as their strength and conditioning coach.

Also heavily involved with his own club Carrick Davins in recent years in various roles, Cronin also spent time with the Waterford ladies' footballers and was also involved in the Waterford hurling development squads and has had a firm footing in Waterford GAA circles as a result so far in his career.
