Uisce Éireann has announced the commencement of an upgrade to the wastewater collection and stormwater treatment system in Baile na nGall, situated within Gaeltacht na nDéise, County Waterford.

The project will include upgrades to the existing pumping station at An Mota, the construction of two additional pumping stations, 3km of new sewers and additional storm water storage to reduce the frequency of Storm Water Overflows into the bay.

The upgrade works will bring significant benefits to the local community and ensure environmental compliance with national and EU wastewater regulations.
