Stakeholders and members of the public are being asked for their views on maintenance projects which are planned for a number of rivers in County Waterford, which feed into the river Blackwater.
The local authority has announced it intends to carry out a number of projects along Owennashad River and Ballynaparka/Goish River, close to Lismore village.
The three projects include river bank maintenance and repair works on the Owennashad River at Carrignagower Picnic Area along the L5017; at Ballynaheeny Bridge at the L2009 road and at Ballynaparka/Goish River at the L2012 road.

As part of the public consultation process, Natura Impact Statements and maps relating to have been prepared and are available to view in person or online - click here.
Any submissions or observations must be made in writing or by email by September 16, 2924.
Waterford City and County Council says it will determine pursuant to Regulation 42(11) of the European Union (Birds and Natural Habitats) Regulations 2011 (S.I. No. 477 of 2011) and Article 6(3) of the Habitats Directive as to whether or not the proposed projects would adversely affect the integrity of a European site.
