Sean (Sailor) Costello from Kilmacow passed away peacefully on Monday
Sean (Sailor) Costello is due to be laid to rest this evening at Donnacha Doyles & Son’s Funeral Home.
Formerly of Clover Meats and Kilkenny County Council, Sean passed away peacefully on Monday at his residence.
Sadly missed by his sons David, John, Declan, Ronan and Dara, their mother Breda, his twin sister Dollie, brother Tommy, daughters-in-law Alison, Olivia and Stella, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, neighbours, relatives and friends.
According to RIP.ie, Mr Costello will be reposed this evening Wednesday, January 31, at Donnacha Doyles & Son’s Funeral Home, Grannagh, Kilmacow from 5pm until 7pm.
Arriving on Thursday at St. Senan’s Church, Kilmacow (via Dunkitt) for Requiem Mass at 11am. Burial after in the adjoining cemetery.

"Many memories of Sean " riding shotgun" with me in the courtesy car on the way to and from his beloved Sycamore Street over the years.
"His stories were always entertaining particularly around the junior final which, in his words, he won on his own. The trips were never dull in the Sailor's company! God be good to him. Sincere sympathies to all the family."
Another said:
"Sincere sympathy to Breda and the Costello family on the death of Sean may he rest in peace. He hurled on the team from Kilmacow that won the Kilmacow hurling final with Sean in the fifties."
While another simply wrote:
