Gardaí launch investigation after vehicle damaged by fire in Waterford city

Gardaí have launched an investigation after a vehicle was damaged by fire in Waterford city last night.

The incident occurred in the Ballybeg area at approximately 11:50pm.

Gardaí and the Waterford City Fire Service attended the scene. No injuries were reported.

A Garda spokesperson said: “Gardaí received a report of an incident of criminal damage by fire that occurred in the Ballybeg area, Waterford city on Friday, October 16 at approximately 11:50pm.

“A vehicle has been reported as damaged. No injuries have been reported.”

The gardaí concluded by saying that investigations are ongoing.
