Professional services firm Azets Ireland, which has a significant presence in Waterford, has been announced as the new sponsor of DCU Sport.
The sponsorship funding will support the overall DCU Sport programme, including the scholarship fund and other programme costs such as coaching and specialist equipment.
As part of the deal, the company, which has a regional office at IDA Business Park, Cork Rd, Waterford, will be the main shirt sponsor across DCU sport teams and will also be the named sponsors of the DCU Sports Scholarships Awards Event.
DCU Sport scholarships help support the holistic development of talented athletes, and recognises their increasing need to successfully balance both academic and sporting commitments. The Sport Scholarship programme is an athlete-led development programme whereby a network of support services and expertise are tailored to the individual needs of the athlete, across a range of more than 40 sports including Gaelic Football, Athletics, Hurling, Camogie, Basketball and Rugby.
