Waterford viewers will have some local faces to cheer on in the coming weeks as contestants from the county feature in upcoming episodes of TG4 game show An Deis.
The entertainment series, presented by Eibhlín Ní Chonghaile, airs on Sundays at 7.30pm and sees teams of two go head-to-head for the chance to win up to €5,000.
The third episode of the series, which airs on Sunday, March 22, will feature friends Dermot Tobin and Martha Nic Giolla Dhaltúin from Waterford and Kilkenny.
Later in the run, Waterford contestant Shaun Harte will appear alongside Lisa Murray from Meath in episode nine, which airs on May 3.
In each programme, three teams of two compete against one another in a battle of strategy, general knowledge and risk-taking as they try to land the jackpot.
Contestants from all over the country are taking part in the new ten-part series, from the Donegal Gaeltacht to Cork City, giving viewers plenty of local rivalries and county interest along the way.
The show is produced by Tyrone Productions for TG4 and is an original format created by Gavin Cox and Welsh production company Slam Media.
Speaking about the series, Laura Ní Cheallaigh, Commissioning Editor for An Deis, said TG4 was delighted to bring an Irish-language version of the format to viewers.
"TG4 is delighted to be part of this project, bringing an Irish-language version of An Deis to life for our audience," she said.
"Supporting and developing new formats in the Celtic languages is always a key priority for us, and this collaboration with S4C is a wonderful example of creative partnership in action."
