'Badly decomposed' sea turtle washes up on Waterford beach

A leatherback sea turtle washed up on Ardmore beach in County Waterford last week. 

The badly decomposed sea turtle had a curved carapace length of 162cm, a  Sea Turtle Rescue and Reporting Ireland spokesperson said.

Most of its head was missing and its flippers were badly damaged.
