Gardaí clamp down on speeding in Waterford

Gardaí were out in force detecting road users breaking the speed limit on National Slow Down Day last Friday.

A driver was caught doing 83 km/h in a 60 km/h zone on the N25 Dungarvan to Waterford road at Cloncoskoran.

Other detections locally included a car travelling 155 km/h at Fiddown in a 100 km/h zone and another road user going 177 km/h on the 120 km/h M9 at Knocktopher, County Kilkenny.
