Waterford deaths and funerals (Thursday 13th September)

Rita Halligan (née Conway), Rockenham, Ferrybank, Waterford

Died peacefully in St. Joseph's Home, Ferrybank, on Wednesday 12th September surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her husband Christy. Rita will be sadly missed by her loving sister Eveyln (Collins) brother-in-law Tom, niece Catherine, nephews David and John, extended family and friends.

Rita will be reposing in St. Joseph's Home, Ferrybank, on Friday 14th September from 3:30pm with reception into the Convent Chapel at 5:30pm. Removal on Saturday to The Sacred Heart Church, Ferrybank, arriving for requiem mass at 10am, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Con O'Reilly, Newtown Hill, Tramore, Waterford / Rylane, Cork

Passed away on 11th September at Bon Secours Hospital, Cork, in the exceptional care of the staff. Predeceased by his wife Irene (Brenner). Deeply regretted by his sister Nora (Keating); brothers Peter and Liam; the late Maura and Jim; sisters-in-law Mona, Marie (Keogh), Nora and Charlotte (Brenner); brother-in-law Wally; nieces, nephews; relatives; and friends.

Reposing in Thompson's Funeral Home, Barrack Street, on Friday 14th September from 5:30pm, followed by removal at 6:30pm to the Holy Cross Church, Tramore. Requiem mass on Saturday at 10am, followed by burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ballygunner. 

Cherry Faeste (née Myerscough), Waterford

Passed away on 10th September, peacefully after a short illness, in the wonderful care of the staff of University Hospital Waterford. Sadly missed by her loving and devoted husband Arild; her daughters Tanya and Nina; sons-in-law Peter and Liam; grandchildren Andrew, Alex, Katie, Sophie and Ruby Mae; brothers Robert and Philip; sisters-in-law Meg and Jane; and her extended family and friends.

Funeral service at 12 noon on Saturday 15th September in Kilternan Parish, Church of Ireland, Dublin 18. House private. Family flowers only, with donations in lieu to Irish Cancer Society.
